Born in 1805 into a family of Swiss watchmakers, Heinrich Moser founded H. Moser & Cie in 1828 in Saint Petersburg, before establishing a manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland, in 1829 to ensure the production of watches distributed throughout Europe and Russia. In 1848, he returned to Schaffhausen, his hometown, where he became a leading industrialist, even building a dam on the Rhine in 1864. Today, vintage watches from this manufacture are rare to find, and even rarer in such a state of preservation. Here is a model from the 1960s, preserved in exceptional condition.
