Reference 2849 1SC.

Wrist size in photo/video: 17 cm

Case

  • Stainless steel
  • Diameter 34 mm without crown

  • Champagne, beautifully patinated over the decades: amber oxidation spots
  • Applied Arabic numerals every quarter of the dial and baton indexes for the intermediate hours
  • Gilded dauphine hands
  • Date window at 3 o'clock.

Watch serviced in April 2026

Launched in 1948 to celebrate Omega's centenary, the Seamaster is one of the Swiss brand's most iconic collections. In its early days, it embodied the ultimate "dress-sport" watch: robust, waterproof, yet elegant enough to accompany its wearer in all circumstances. In 1957, it adopted the seahorse as its emblem: a symbol inspired by Venetian sculptures of Neptune, carved on either side of the gondolas in the City of Doges, and since then inextricably linked to the collection's marine identity.
