Omega Constellation C-Shape 1968

Reference 168.029

Launched in 1952 to embody Omega's chronometric excellence, the Constellation underwent a major redesign in the late 1960s with the adoption of the "C" shaped cushion case, which became emblematic of the series. Reference 168.029, produced from 1967, introduced the day/date double complication with the 751 caliber. This was a significant evolution that positioned this Constellation at the top of the dress watch range of the time. The COSC chronometer certification, written in full on the dial, was not a marketing argument: it reflected real precision standards imposed by Observatory competitions.
