Article 1 – Seller Identification
The Vintage Watch Spirit store (hereinafter “the Seller”) is a company specializing in the sale of vintage watches and collectible accessories.

Article 2 – Purpose and Scope
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) govern all sales concluded between the Seller and any buyer (hereinafter “the Customer”) placing an order on the Shopify website accessible at vintagewatchspirit.com
Any purchase made on the website implies unconditional acceptance of these GTC. These terms apply to the exclusion of all others, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Seller.
Article 3 – Products
The Seller offers for sale pre-owned and collectible vintage watches, as well as related accessories (straps, boxes, etc.). Each watch is accompanied by a description specifying:
The general condition and any observed defects
Technical specifications (brand, etc.)
The price in euros, including tax
The photographs illustrating the products are binding and accurately represent the item offered for sale. The Seller undertakes to describe the condition of each item honestly.
Vintage items are sold as-is: their used and aged nature is an integral part of their value. Normal signs of wear inherent to their age do not constitute a defect.
Article 4 – Prices
Shipping costs are listed separately during the ordering process.
For customers residing in the European Union: the prices displayed include VAT at the rate in effect in the destination country at the time of the order.
For customers residing outside the European Union: prices are displayed exclusive of taxes. Customs duties, import taxes, and other local fees may be applied by the customs authorities of the destination country. These fees are entirely the responsibility of the Customer and are not collected by Vintage Watch Spirit. It is the Customer’s responsibility to check with the relevant authorities in their country before placing an order.
The Seller reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, without notice. Products will be invoiced based on the price in effect at the time the order is confirmed.
Article 5 – Ordering
The ordering process on the website is as follows:
- Select products and add them to the cart
- Review and confirm the contents of the cart
- Enter shipping information
- Select a payment method and confirm payment
- Order confirmation sent via email
The sale is deemed concluded upon the Customer’s receipt of the order confirmation email. The Seller reserves the right to cancel any order in the event of insufficient stock, payment issues, or an abnormal order, with a full refund issued as soon as possible.
Article 6 – Payment
Payment is made online at the time of ordering via the secure payment methods offered by Shopify Payments:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayPal
- Other methods depending on availability on the website
Transactions are secured by SSL protocol. The Seller does not store any banking data. In the event of non-payment or fraud, the Seller reserves the right to suspend or cancel the order.
Article 7 – Delivery
7.1 Delivery Areas
The Seller delivers worldwide (mainland France, French overseas departments and territories, the European Union, and internationally)
7.2 Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times are as follows:
- Europe: 1 to 5 business days
- International: 2–10 business days
These delivery times begin on the date of shipment confirmation and are for reference only; they depend on the selected shipping method (standard or express).
7.3 Shipping Costs
Shipping is free for France. Shipping costs apply for other regions of the world
7.4 Packaging
Given the delicate and valuable nature of vintage watches, the Seller undertakes to package each item with care, securely, and in a manner suitable for international shipping.
Article 8 – Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has 14 calendar days from receipt of the package to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to provide a reason.
To exercise this right, the Customer must contact the Seller in advance by email at contact@vintagewatchspirit.com, before the deadline expires, to agree on the return procedures. No returns will be accepted without the Seller’s prior consent. The product must be returned within 14 days of notification.
Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the Customer, regardless of the reason for the withdrawal, unless otherwise expressly agreed upon with the Seller during the prior exchange. The product must be returned in its original condition, carefully packaged, with all accessories and documents included in the initial delivery.
The Seller will refund the Customer within 14 days of receiving the returned package, using the same payment method used for the order.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the Customer’s specifications or clearly personalized.
Article 9 – Warranties
9.1 Statutory Warranty of Conformity
The Seller is bound by the statutory warranty of conformity provided for in Articles L.217-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. In the event of a lack of conformity, the Customer may request repair or replacement of the goods, or, if these solutions prove impossible or disproportionate, a refund.
9.2 Warranty Against Hidden Defects
The Seller is liable for hidden defects, in accordance with Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code, when a defect renders the product unfit for its intended use, provided that the defect was not apparent and that the Customer could not have known of it at the time of purchase.
9.3 Specificity of Vintage Items
Vintage and secondhand items are sold “as is.” Natural wear and tear related to their age (patina, light scratches, aging of seals) is inherent to their nature and does not constitute a defect. The Seller strives to accurately describe the condition of each item in its product listing.
9.4 Functionality Warranty
The Seller guarantees the proper functioning of each watch sold for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
Article 10 – Liability
The Seller shall not be held liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from the use of the purchased products, delivery delays attributable to the carrier, acts of God (natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, government decisions, etc.), or the fraudulent use by a third party of the Customer’s bank details.
Article 11 – Protection of Personal Data
Personal data collected during the ordering process (name, address, email, phone number) is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act.
It is used solely for the purposes of processing and tracking orders. It is not sold to third parties without prior consent. The Customer has the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the use of their data by contacting: contact@vintagewatchspirit.com.

Article 13 – Disputes and Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the Customer may seek an amicable resolution before taking any legal action. The Customer may also seek mediation through the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the French courts.
Article 14 – Modification of the Terms and Conditions
The Seller reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The applicable version is the one in effect on the date of the order. The new Terms and Conditions will be published on the website with a new effective date.
