MIMO is a sister brand of Girard-Perregaux, founded in 1918 in La Chaux-de-Fonds under the impetus of Otto Graef, who bought GP in 1928 when the house was on the brink of collapse. The two brands coexisted for two decades, MIMO in Europe and GP in North America, before the third Graef generation merged the two identities in favor of Girard-Perregaux in the 1950s. This 1940s watch is a direct witness to that history: understated, legible, with the black dial typical of the era's aesthetic.
