Born in 1805 into a family of Swiss watchmakers, Heinrich Moser founded H. Moser & Cie in 1828 in Saint Petersburg, before establishing a manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland, in 1829 to produce the watches distributed across Europe and Russia.
In 1848, he returned to Schaffhausen, his hometown, where he established himself as a leading industrial figure, even having a dam built on the Rhine in 1864. Here is a model from the 1960s, preserved in exceptional condition.
